Appreciating Kyle: G.M. Mechanical's Employee of the Month
We are excited to announce this month’s employee of the month, Kyle Layman, a fantastic journeyman electrician who has been rooted in High River for over 20 years. Kyle has been with us since May 2021, but it feels like he has been here a lifetime with how well he embodies our values. When Kyle is done doing outstanding work for our company, you can catch him reading, golfing, hiking, and playing with his dog. Kyle’s experience, work and attitude qualifies him to join our other awesome team members as employee of the month.

Part of the reason Kyle is so good at his job is because he has extensive experience providing electrical services in Foothills. As a matter of fact, he has been in the trade for more than 15 years. He started at G.M. Mechanical with his journeyman and master electrician tickets, and almost 4 years later, the rest is history. Even though Kyle is highly skilled and experienced, he is still aiming to improve. He says he would like to continue growing his skills and keep up with the advancements in the industry.

Mentorship is important at G.M. Mechanical. Our team has over 150 years of combined experience and therefore our apprentices have access to a wealth of knowledge. One team member that definitely has a lot to teach, is Kyle.
Kyle consistently shows up with a positive and enthusiastic demeanour, ready to tackle any task that comes his way. But his impact extends beyond his own work - he is an incredible mentor to our electrical apprentices, sharing his knowledge and guiding them to provide the top-notch service our customers have come to expect.
